TEKELI-SISA MIMARLIK ORTAKLIGI

The building is constructed on a two-way-closed site facing Valide Mosque in Aksaray Square on the way from Ataturk Boulevard leading to Aksaray. First three floors of the seven storey building are reserved for the bank branch and the rest of the floors are reserved for lease for offices. A unity among the bank branch floors is obtained by forming a three storeys high inner space at the entrance of the branch that is reflected on outer architecture on ground. This configuration continues the visual and functional relations between floors. The entrance to the office space, is placed on one side of the site and its size is kept at minimum.

Trying to overcome the problem of building a contemporary building within a historical texture, higly detailed order of Valide Mosque in the façade has been one of the starting points. Windows of the office floors are kept small and the façade texture is enriched by a ceramic motif buried under artificial stone cases and parapet walls.
